Inagro invests in incubatorSabien Pollet, 11 okt 2011

The purchase of an incubator or a growth chamber offers Inagro new opportunities for its research purposes. Environmental parameters as temperature, relative humidity and intensity of the light can be adjusted depending on the test organism. This allows repetition of experiments in exactly the same environmental conditions.
The new incubator will be used for in vitro tests with pesticides. Fungal cultures or different stages of insects can also be grown under controlled conditions. Inagro breeds currently various insects such as cabbage moth, cabbage fly and thrips. This allows artificial infection if natural infection fails. By switching to the warm light spectrum, the incubator can also be used for experiments with plants.
